Her clinical training at Duke included rotations in the Pain Management\/Biofeedback Program, Duke Eating Disorders Program, and the Cognitive Behavioral Research and Treatment Program. She completed two post-doctoral fellowships at Duke University Medical Center, one in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and one with the Center for Spirituality, Theology, and Health. She has received advanced training in integrative medicine from the Center for Mind-Body Medicine.\u202fShe is also an adjunct Assistant Professor in the department of Psychiatry at Duke University Medical Center and a member of the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology<em>.&nbsp;<\/em>Her passion for helping people achieve their health-related goals and live balanced, peaceful lives has inspired Michelle throughout her career in mental health.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Michelle is also certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy for trauma and PTSD and leads mind-body skills training, stress management, and writing for wellness groups. Her area of clinical and research&nbsp;expertise&nbsp;is in&nbsp;integrating spirituality and religion into therapy. She is the author of&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Cognitive-Behavioral-Therapy-Christians-Depression\/dp\/1599474913\/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&amp;qid=1474314760&amp;sr=8-1&amp;keywords=michelle+pearce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Christians with Depression: A Tool-Based Primer<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em>&nbsp;She implements this&nbsp;expertise&nbsp;in treatment with clients.
