Meet Victoria Simmons-Elkins, LCPC
Practicing since: 2007
Victoria Simmons-Elkins graduated from the University of Maryland with a Masterβs degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. She also earned a Certificate of Advanced Study in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola College. Inspired by the lasting impact that family relationships and generational patterns have on emotional well-being, Victoria became a mental health counselor to help individuals and families identify unhealthy cycles, foster healing, and build healthier relationships.
Victoria primarily utilizes a Family Systems approach, recognizing that early family relationships often shape beliefs, behaviors, and interpersonal patterns throughout life. She also incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and create meaningful, lasting change. For clients who request it, Victoria is also able to integrate faith-based principles into treatment in a way that aligns with their personal beliefs and goals.
Victoria strives to provide a supportive, compassionate, and nonjudgmental therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and develop greater self-awareness. She works collaboratively with clients to strengthen self-esteem, improve communication, establish healthy boundaries, and cultivate more fulfilling relationships. Her goal is to help clients gain a deeper understanding of themselves, break free from unhealthy generational and relational patterns, and develop the skills needed to experience lasting emotional wellness and greater peace in their daily lives.
Victoria Simmons-Elkins, LCPC, is licensed in the state of Maryland (#LC1699) and Pennsylvania (#PC010560).
